Kapria has been described as “the voice and expression of ancestral wisdom in this world,” and as “a messenger of reconciliation with authenticity.” She is recognized for her ability to awaken society, and tap into the ancient wisdom and medicines for the soul in ways that are fresh, grounding and enlightening. Her teaching and mentoring style is rooted in what Kapria describes as “practical mysticism.”
Growing up in the Midwest, nature taught Kapria the beauty and importance of silence, the gifts of patience, and that in order to fully appreciate and participate in the richness of life, we have to move at a pace that allows us to savor life instead of racing through it. Her years spent living in Maui deepened her awareness of the powerful influence the natural world has on all aspects of our health and spirit. Working with Humpback whales was a true gift, opening her eyes to the elements of life that are truly wondrous and magical. Kapria believes Nature is one of our best tools to discover the true inner nature of the Self.
For over 10 years, she has helped clients and students to heal what has been wounded, retrieve parts of the self that have seemed lost, and activate a life that is filled with purpose, meaning and passion. Kapria creates an environment for people to recognize their gifts, and she provides a space for people to discover their authentic self and a lifestyle that will bring the most fulfillment and happiness. Those who take her classes, or work with her individually, discover that spiritual concepts can be lived in tangible ways, physical reality can be elevated to its most sacred expression and Life can be experienced in all its deliciousness.
Over the past 15 years, Kapria has worked with Native American, Polynesian and West African medicine men and women, each of whom helped to strengthen her natural gifts as an intuitive, teacher and guide. As a passionate epicurean, she incorporates her knowledge of the sacredness of food into her teachings and coaching.
She is a writer, photographer and dancer with a deep love of music and the arts, which she uses to enhance her work with individuals. Some of her influences are Amma, Malidoma Patrice Some, Jacques Cousteau, Sarah Vaughan, Garrison Keillor, her grandparents and her shamanic teachers.
Kapria is also the Creator and Founder of M’Power, Inc.
